About
Meet The Founder
Veronica was born in Cape Town, South Africa but grew up in Port Elizabeth. She worked in numerous industries, ranging from sales to customer services, and eventually her final role before leaving South Africa was a Banking Branch Manager. She has lived in New Zealand for the past 21 years and has once again been in many different sectors, i.e. learning assistant for special needs students, child support office for Inland Revenue, caregiver to the elderly, and home loan consultant. All of the life skills she learned along the way have led to her following her passion and starting her own entrepreneurial projects. She is also the chairperson of the OneAfrica Charity.

How did we start?
Ladies Who Thrive was born from the belief that women need to believe in themselves and their capabilities as well as be there to support each other. We have come to realise that once a woman, (who is generally the heart of the home), believes in herself and has a positive attitude, it changes the whole dynamic of the family. We started running Networking Morning teas, Ladies Retreats, and even a Fashion Show (called the Tru You Fashion show) for women of all ages, shapes, and sizes. While Ladies Who Thrive is South African inspired, they are for all women wanting to improve their lives and possibly create lifelong friendships.
